The story of the sword

In the 10th and 15th centuries, the Arming sword or "Knightly" sword became a standard military sword, developing from the Viking sword of the 9th century.

The term "Arming Sword" was first used in the 15th century after these swords became primarily side-swords rather than a main weapon. Featuring a 31-inch blade constructed of heat-treated and quenched EN45 high carbon steel, this replica arming sword is fully functional.

The blade is well-balanced and offers a Degree of Flexibility around 30-45°. Though the double-sided blade is left dull for training purposes, it can easily be sharpened to your liking (I do not offer sharpening on this product). The handle is wrapped in exquisite brown leather for a comfortable feel in your hand. This sword features a traditional long straight cross guard as well as a Brazilian nut-shaped pommel, both made entirely of 100% pure brass.
