About this item
My newest design is a pattern to make a warm cuddle, snuggle cocoon for baby.
It looks knit and has the stretch of a knit rib stitch but is actually a crochet stitch. This pattern is easy enough for a beginner to tackle and works up quickly.
The top edge of the cocoon a contrasting design accomplished with some front and back post stitches.
The matching hat is done in the same stitch design and both cocoon and hat will stretch as baby moves but still provide the cuddle/snuggle feel most newborns crave.
This set is made using a bulky size 5 yarn and a larger crochet hook - a size "K."
Cocoon measures 19" long and 23" around and will easily stretch wider.
Hat measures 6" from folded up cuff to crown and 11" but will easily stretch another inch.
The stitch design provides stretch but also bounces back so it will retain the neat rib design after use.
I have included two pictures of the cocoon so you can the see the stitch definition and how different colors enhance the design.
As always, I provide email support support on all my patterns.
