About this item

Om Yantra

This Yantra can become a protective talisman, help to harmonize yourself and the space around you!

This is a sacred sound and the original mantra. Our manifested perceived universe came from the vibration caused by this sound. "Om" symbolizes the upward movement, the approach of the soul to the higher spheres. All the best is created and attracted by this sound. OM symbolizes the highest reality and the Universe. According to the Vedas, God originally created the sound vibration from which the entire phenomenal world originated. This sound was "OM". It predates the creation of the Universe and everything was created from it, including the gods.

OM is the cosmic vibration that binds the atoms of the world and the heavens together. The Vedas say that OM is God in the form of sound. Therefore, the sound "OM" is the most sacred sound in Hinduism. This is a mantra that includes all other mantras. The sacred texts of Hinduism and Vedic tradition begin and end with this sound.OM IS not just a letter of the Sanskrit alphabet. If you get into this mystical symbol, it turns out that it consists of three parts combined into one. They are linked together not as a physical mixture, but rather as an alchemical compound.

The Om symbol consists of three curved lines, one semicircle and a dot, which symbolize the 3 States of human mind and pure consciousness!

JAGRAT. The large lower curved line 1 represents our waking state of Jagrat. In this state, our mind and senses are turned outward to the outside world. The largest size of this line means that this is the most common state of human consciousness. Associated with Rajo-guna.

SUSHUPTI. The upper curved line 2 indicates Sushupti's deep sleep state. This is an unconscious state when the sleeper does not want anything and does not dream. After awakening from a deep sleep, only the memory of this state remains. Associated with Tamo-guna.

SVAPNA. The middle curved line 3, which is located between deep sleep and wakefulness, indicates the state of sleep with Swapna dreams. In this state, the mind is turned on, but directed inward. In a dream, a person feels and experiences emotions that were perceived from the outside world and continues to operate with ideas obtained from their experience. It is associated with Sattva-guna.

These 3 curved lines and their corresponding 3 States of mind represent the dual nature from which all phenomena and physical reality of this world originate.

TURYA. The point Anusvara 5 indicates the fourth state, known as the pure state of Consciousness, outside the mind-Turya. In this state of consciousness, the mind is completely calm and does not go out or in. This peaceful and blissful state, without evaluation or comparison, is the ultimate goal of spiritual practice. This pure, non-dual state of Consciousness illuminates all the other 3 States. The state of deep sleep, when the influence of the external is minimal and Consciousness remains, is to some extent the key to understanding Turya, which is a consciousness that is unclouded by the Mind, but at the same time inseparable from the other three.

MAYA. The semicircle 4 represents the Mayan illusion and separates the point from the other 3 lines. People, because of their Ignorance (Avidya), build false ideas about the existing world in their minds, then try to pull them onto the real one. This is the Illusion or Maya that prevents the realization of this highest state of bliss. The semicircle is open at the top and does not touch the point. This means that this higher state is independent of the Maya. Maya only affects the physical, manifest, and phenomenal world.

In this way, the Symbol OM shows how to go beyond the 3 limited dual States of mind and reveal your pure Consciousness!
