About this item

Very detailed and easy KNITTING PDF PATTERN for creating knitted raccoon!

This is not circular knitting, the toy is knitted on 4 knitting needles.

***THIS IS KNIT Raccoon PATTERN ONLY - NOT A FINISHED TOY***

Only ears are crocheted!
The file contains 33 pages, 80pictures
Level: for beginners. Basic skills of knitting are needed.
When finished, the Raccoon is roughly 8-9 cm (3.15-4 inches) tall if you take the same yarn.

You need for work:

1)Yarn. For a raccoon you'll need any yarn you can comb. An optimal variant is a yarn which contains mohair. 10-15 % of mohair in your yarn will be enough. The metric area of a yarn will be approx from 170 till 250 m in 50 g. as a variant, you can take any smooth yarn like Gazzal baby wool and add to it a thin thread of kid mohair.

The optimal colors are white, light grey, beige and sandy.

The variants which I've used: Drops Nord + Alize kid
mohair, Alize, Angora gold, Alize kid mohair in
combination with. Also will suit Nako angora luks. We
need 2 colors. One color is for
the body and the other one for a jacket. It is not
obligatory to knit a jacket with a fluffy yarn. Any yarn
will suit, you can use a smooth yarn, the main thing is
to use a yarn with the same metric area.

2) Double pointed needles 4 pcs 1,5 mm.
3) Stuffing. Synthetic fluff or hollofayber.
4) White chenille wire for a frame of the legs. (if you have no wire, you can make the legs without frame)
5) Eyes-beads or eyes with stalks 3 mm (I have the second one).
6) Transparent moment glue or a glue for a fabric. (if you sew the eyes, than you will not need a glue).
7) A device which help to insert a thread in a needle.
8) A sewing needle.
9) A piece of black thread.
10) Pins, 2 pc
11) The hook 1,5 mm for the neck of a sweater, ears and to enlighten the process of knitting the decreases.
12) Oil pastel for tinting of a toy.
13) A thin brush.
14) A piece of white thread to decorate the eyes.
15) Scissors.
