The text of this edition is taken from the Ostrog Bible of 1581 - the first complete printed edition of the Bible in Church Slavonic, which was prepared by the first printer, Deacon Ivan Fedorov, with the support of Prince Konstantin Ostrogsky, the patron saint of Orthodoxy in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. For lovers of church antiquities, the language of the XVI century will be interesting. It differs both from the language of the Elizabethan Bible of 1751 and from the synodal translation of the Church Slavonic language.
The Gospel of Matthew is the first book of the New Testament of the Bible and one of the three synoptic Gospels
