In a small village near the mysterious spirit-wood, Liska Radost learns the harsh truth about magic and those who wield it. After inadvertently unleashing her own powers, she is captured by the demon warden of the wood – the Leszy – who strikes a dangerous bargain with her: one year of servitude in exchange for a wish.
