LJ Greywolf is an artist from the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma that was taught the art of beadwork at the young age of 10 years old by his grandmother. During the 1970’s, LJ Greywolf would sell his beaded headbands, necklaces and bracelets to tourists that would come and vacation in and around the Grand Lake area of Oklahoma. LJ Greywolf became well known among many of the Indian Nations from coast to coast for his artwork especially his beadwork of wildlife and nature. He soon started selling to shops and local galleries around the country and even museums. LJ Greywolf continued to travel for many years, visiting the Nations and trading techniques. He learned the skills of silversmithing from the Navajo and Zuni, the skills of quill work from the Cheyanne, Sioux, and medicine from Arapaho as well as many other skills from many other nations. LJ and his family moved to the sunny state of Arizona and opened a website in 2012 called LJGreywolf.com where you visit today.
