Upcycled Original Art, Chalk Board Shabby Chic, Vintage Style

A beautiful Shabby Chic Chalk Board. There is a small ledge that is enough room to hold a stick of chalk.

The item was created using canalized items such as the chalk board itself. (Therefore, there is a sticker on the back that says made in China because no matter how I tried that baby was not coming off.) I took the chalkboard out of a think cheap frame and cut it to fit the frame it is presently in. The chalkboard is on a metal backing which I did not realize until cutting so it was tricky! Then I used leftover wood, sandpaper, and paint to create the frame. Added the flowers and hanger and here we have a beautiful chalk board.

Please note: The chalkboard is actually on metal so its not a smooth finish in the visual aspect. Depending on the angle and lighting it may seem to have a "smear". that is strictly due to the material. It adds to the vintage look.
