As you already know, of course toy soldiers were the main and most widespread toys of boys of an era of the USSR. Soldiers great battles as houses and on the street were arranged.
And what army (even toy) can do without technical support?

One of the most striking examples of such toys was really сult series of the metal cast models "Armor Vehicles". These toys were especially popular in 1970th and 1980th.
They had compact appearance, powerful functionality and phenomenal survivability. But there was also a shortcoming, quite often because of the small sizes, such models were often lost in a sandbox. But some on the contrary were lucky to find such toys accidentally.
With the Vehicles it was possible to do anything, to throw from a window, to burn down or blow up. At the same time damages as a rule it appeared on a minimum. Now nobody will make it, everything is made of plastic, and calculated on short use.
On the specialized websites and forums, models of the Armor Vehicles series are on sale for pretty big money, to various collectors. And at the same time, considering age of models about 30-40 years, they still in an excellent state. And it already speaks about much. Models were on sale as separately and the whole sets. The cost of one model during the Soviet period was from 50 kopeks to 5 rubles.
The release of the "Armor Vehicles" series is begun in June-July, 1967 in the 4th TPZ foundry shop (Tula Cartridge Works). The basis was the Technical order about start in a series.
Toys were produced by a casting method under pressure. Coloring was made by khaki nitropaint, a dusting method. Paint was used the same as in coloring of shell casings.
Monthly circulations reached 100 000 units a month. But happened that about 55 000 units in a month because of production loading by main-military orders fell.
In the 1980th years at ENEA a series of toys "Armor Vehicles" has got a bronze medal.
