Patriarch Pavel of Serbia (1914-2009) is a strict ascetic and prayer book, the merciful spiritual father of the Orthodox Serbian people. Having become a patriarch at the age of 76, he gained truly national veneration by his meekness and love, as well as by the feat of his sacrificial patriarchal ministry. People called him a "living saint." The book contains the instructions and advice of Patriarch Pavel, fragments of his memoirs, as well as stories of people who knew him.
