Russian cuirassiers 8026 Zvezda 1/72 Napoleonic 16 pieces
The set of Russian cuirassiers of 1812 is part of the military-historical miniatures game system and is made from high-quality material. The overall design consists of 16 realistic equestrian figures of Russian army cuirassiers.
Cuirassiers literally mean "men at arms", a branch of the heavy cavalry, two-thirds of the body dressed in cuirasses (iron plates). The main weapon of the cuirassier was a sword. By the end of the 19th century. from the uniform of the cuirassier, only a helmet and a cuirass remained, and a saber took the place of a sword.
The life-regiments of the cuirassiers of the Russian Empire recruited only tall red-haired and long-nosed recruits. The color of the horses was selected individually for each squadron (there were 4 squadrons in total.) The color of the uniform was mostly yellow.
